I’ll keep this one short and simple.
Located not far from the east side of JR, this is one of the lesser-known gyoza joints in Utsunomiya. The eatery is manned by a old man of few words and with a pretty awesome beard–you should go just for that. It’s your basic gyoza restaurant–a few bar seats, a small TV towards the front, and a few other tables, enough to cram in a small crowd if necessary. There are several different types of gyoza on the menu, and I got a mix of the kimchi and the regular. Both were very good, with a lot of flavor (especially the kimchi ones), and a nicely chewy wrapper. My set of 12 pot stickers came with a side of rice, pickles, and soup, all for a nice price of ￥990.
